Together Forever Couple Anniversary - Personalized Custom Shaped Wooden Plaque

I was genuinely excited to receive this as it was purchased as a special gift for my best friend's 10th wedding anniversary. The personalisation was correct and the item arrived safely, so I have no complaints regarding the engraving or delivery.

Unfortunately, I was left very disappointed by the product itself. The 1-layer version I received was far thinner and lighter than I expected from the photographs on the website. The product images, together with the £24–£28 price point, created the expectation of a substantial wooden keepsake, with a thick wooden base and a heart resembling a genuine cross-section of a tree trunk. In reality, the item is a single flat laser-cut wooden plaque, giving a very different overall impression.

After contacting customer services, I was advised that I had ordered the correct 1-layer version. However, when I revisited the website, I found that the main product photographs shown for both the 1-layer and 2-layer options appear virtually identical, despite the significant difference in the construction of the two products. In my opinion, this does not give customers a clear or accurate indication of what the 1-layer version actually looks like.
Had the product photographs more accurately reflected the appearance and construction of the 1-layer version, I would almost certainly have chosen the 2-layer option instead.

I replied with this feedback and included comparison screenshots to explain my concerns. Despite allowing over a week for a response, I never received any further reply, which left me equally disappointed with the level of customer service.

This review is not suggesting that the wrong item was sent or that the product was faulty. Rather, I hope it helps future customers make a more informed decision. If you are considering the 1-layer version, be aware that it is a very thin laser-cut wooden plaque and looks significantly less substantial than the product photographs suggest.

Finally, whilst value is always subjective, I personally did not feel the 1-layer version represented good value for the £24–£28 price point. Had I known the product would look and feel as it does in reality, I would not have made the purchase.
